About Dawa Lama
Dawa is from Syabrubesi, at the mouth of the Langtang valley, and he was part of the rebuilding after 2015. He knows every lodge owner on that trail personally, and a good part of the reason his groups are looked after so well is that they are staying with people he grew up around.
He is our most experienced guide by years and the least interested in the busy routes. Langtang, the Tamang Heritage Trail, Helambu, Manaslu when the permits allow - these are the walks he pushes, and travellers who take his advice rarely regret it.
He is also the guide we send on camping treks, because he has run them since before tea house trekking reached half these valleys.
Everyone walks to Everest. I would rather show you a valley where you can hear it.

We passed maybe fifteen other trekkers in eight days. He was right about the valley. Marcus W., Zurich
The lodge owners greeted him like family, and we got the benefit of that all week. Priya and Arjun, Bangalore
