Overview
Pokhara is the softest landing in Nepal. It is warmer and lower than Kathmandu, it is built along a lake, and on a clear morning the Annapurna range rises straight out of the horizon behind it.
This trip is deliberately unhurried. One early start for the Sarangkot sunrise, one boat ride at the end of the day, and the rest of it left open for the terrace of a lakeside cafe. It suits families with small children, first-time visitors and anyone stitching a few restful days onto a longer itinerary.
Everything is at low altitude and reachable by car, so no fitness requirement applies. We can extend it with paragliding, a day at the Peace Pagoda or a night in Chitwan on the way back.

Frequently asked questions
- Is this suitable for elderly parents or small children?
- Yes. Everything except the optional Peace Pagoda walk is done by vehicle at low altitude, and the Sarangkot viewpoint has a road to the top.
- Will we actually see the mountains?
- From late September to April, almost always. In summer the cloud can sit for days, which is why we do not sell this trip as a mountain view package in July and August.
- Can we add paragliding?
- Yes, and we recommend a morning slot because conditions are steadier and fewer flights get cancelled. Tell us at booking and we will hold a place.
